Description:
Stems emerge with a bronze cast in spring, unfurling to large, pleated, horsechestnut-like leaves. Large stems of small, clustered flowers (not unlike those of Aruncus) push up through the foliage in early summer. Flowers start deep pink and fade to white as they age. Seed structures left behind turn red as the season progresses. Lends a lush, tropical atmosphere to the shade garden.
