Four inch wide pure white petals surround cherry red stamens. Flowers are fragrant and emerge from late spring into early summer, and sporadically into late summer. Seed pods are red and dangle like ornaments from the branches. Will form a large bush with time. Attractive golden yellow fall color. Needs good soil with consistent moisture. Often listed as zone 6, but specimens exist as low as zone 4. We'll split the difference and call it a 5.
